Special Education Forum

Thursday, March 6, 2008, 7-9 p.m.
Volunteers Hall, Harvard Public Library

Speakers:
Jim Earley, Ed.D, Managing Director of the Walker Partnerships
Rich Robison, Executive Director, Federation for Children with Special Needs

Earley and Robison will lead a discussion on Special Education, focusing on issues such as the rising cost of services and the growth in eligibility, why federal and state governments are falling short on promised funding levels, what trends are occurring across the state, and what laws and accountability standards districts must adhere to while providing a free and appropriate education for students eligible for services. This forum is an ideal opportunity for anyone hoping to make sense of this complex area of our schools. Ample time for questions will be provided.

If you need supervised childcare in the Children’s Room during the forum, contact Virginia@justicz.com
