The Elizabeth S. May Memorial Lecture Series

Charting Harvard's Future

This series of forums honors the memory and vision of Elizabeth S. May. Elizabeth was a longtime League volunteer and an outstanding member of our community. Upon moving to Harvard in 1977, she immediately joined both the League of Women Voters and the Harvard Conservation Trust. She became active in both groups as well as in town government. During the 1980s she actively participated in Harvard's master planning effort and served on the Long Range Planning Advisory Committee. She was Harvard's Citizen of Note for 2000.

Given Elizabeth's commitment to long-term planning and stewardship, it is especially relevant that this series be dedicated to her memory. The series will focus on long-term planning, in conjunction with the writing of the 2012 Master Plan. Knowledgeable panelists will address the issues and welcome your questions.
